Fifty years ago, Furie, the Valkyrie queen, disappeared after seeking to kill the vampire Horde king. She has been trapped at the bottom of the ocean, chained there by the vampire Lothaire, for the last fifty years.
Her existence is to drown, only to have her immortality revive her. Meaning she has died over four million times. In the book Dark Skye[citation needed], Melanthe sees her chained to the ocean floor outside of Nereus' bedroom window. In Munro,[citation needed] it is revealed that she is the Bride of Kristoff, the Forebearer's King and rightful King of the Horde and that Nix the Ever-Knowing Valkyrie finally knows her location.
